The Day of the Balearic Islands, or Balearic Islands Regional Holiday, is observed as a public holiday in the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain on 1 March. This date commemorates the enactment of “autonomous” status on 1 March, 1983. In 2027, Balearic Islands Regional Holiday falls on Monday 1 March. The holiday will be on Wednesday 1 March in 2028. If the first of March falls on a Sunday or Tuesday, the adjacent Monday is taken off too. If it falls on a Thursday, the following Friday is normally an off-day.
